TestDaF preparation course
The TestDaF examination is an internationally recognised language examination for applicants* who require proof of their language skills in order to study at a German university or university of applied sciences. Throughout Germany, TestDaF is offered and centrally evaluated as a uniform, standardized examination by selected examination centers. It is recognised as a language entrance examination by all German colleges and universities.
In our TestDaF preparation courses we prepare you intensively and specifically for the TestDaF examination. In order to be able to participate in the preparation course, learners should have reached at least the B2 level, ideally already the C1 level. You can also take the TestDaF preparation course directly after completing a B2 or C1 course with us.

During the several weeks of TestDaf preparation, all exam-relevant skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing) are intensively trained. We dedicate ourselves to simple and more demanding scientific texts in intensive text and vocabulary work. For the written part of the examination we will practice with you writing, formulation and argumentation techniques, which play an important role in TestDaf. As preparation for the oral examination, we practice science-related dialogues and rehearse them again and again in examination formats. Finally, we put you into authentic exam situations (exam simulation) by conducting and evaluating analog exams and TestDaf model tests under real exam conditions.
As a rule, all four parts of the TestDaf examination must be passed with at least a grade of 4 in order to obtain the language university entrance qualification. The four parts of the TestDaf exam are each assigned to a specific TestDaF level (TDN): the level TDN 3 corresponds to B2.2, TDN 4 to approximately C1.1 and TDN 5 to approximately C1.2. TDN 3 or TDN 4 are accepted as language certificates for enrolment at most German universities. Please contact the institution of your choice in good time to find out what exact level it requires, or contact our secretariat before the course starts. This and your lecturer will be happy to answer any further questions about the exam and exam preparation.
After you have completed our TestDaf preparation course and are optimally prepared for the TestDaF examination, you can take the examination at one of the examination centres in Berlin. Information about examination locations, examination dates, registration deadlines etc. can be obtained in advance from the TestDaF Institute at: www.testdaf.de. Our secretariat will of course be happy to help with any further questions.
