Courses in German for work

In our vocational preparatory German courses we offer you either individually or in small groups vocational preparatory knowledge and basic subject-specific language skills for different professions and professional communication situations. Professional language differs in many ways from German, which you may already know from general language courses. In our “German for work” courses, we provide participants with all the relevant vocabulary, speaking aids, terminology and professional and subject-specific language tools to enable them a smooth transition into working life.

The spectrum of courses we offer ranges from one-day coaching – e.g. intensive training for interviews and job interviews – to complete vocational preparation language courses in which learners are prepared for professional communication in various professions and industries. Our experienced language instructors and professional coaches individually promote your professional language skills. The courses are also flexible in duration and can be booked individually or combined with other general language courses.

Interested people who already reached an advanced to very good knowledge of German (B2/C1 level) can attend intensive vocational preparatory courses with a flexible duration at the FONS Academy, in which they will acquire profession-specific language skills in small groups in order to improve their chances on the German labour market. We currently offer intensive courses for physicians and diplomats in preparation for their careers with excellent specialist lecturers and further training opportunities.

The course format for vocational German language support (DeuFöV), which is designed according to the guidelines of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and is offered in 4 modules of 100 teaching units with appropriate entitlement and state support, forms a vocational preparation further training and qualification offer for people with a permanent perspective in Germany who have already completed an integration course with at least the B1 level in the German test for immigrants (DTZ).
