The integration course for duplicate learners
The Latin A B C
An integration course for duplicate learners consists of either a sequence of 6 or 9 modules plus orientation module, i.e. a total of 7 (A2 level) or 9 (B1 level) modules.
After a successful introduction to the Latin alphabet in the first section of the course, participants in sections 2 and 3 acquire language skills in all four areas (listening, reading, speaking and writing) corresponding to language level A1, i.e. what the CEFR calls elementary language competence. The written language skills acquired in the first section are consolidated and expanded here.
After completion of the literacy phase, which is usually completed more quickly than by primary illiterate women due to learning experiences with the respective native-speaking writing system, the course participants are guided to language level A2 within 6 months.
On request, they can continue learning for another 3 months in order to ideally reach the B1 level. In both cases, the orientation course to be completed within one month (module 7 or 9) follows after the language modules.
After completing all modules, the integration course for students of duplicates also concludes with the two final tests “Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer” (DTZ) and “Leben in Deutschland” (LiD).
